We use dermal fillers to plump and enhance areas that require volume and hydration. All our fillers are based on hyaluronic acid (HA), which is the body’s own natural skin plumper and so has almost no risk of an allergic reaction.
Depending on the area that the filler needs to be placed, there are different consistencies of the gel. Some more fluid than others. Thinner or less dense fillers are used for surface areas like lips and crow’s feet, and thicker ones are injected deeper into the cheeks. All the lip fillers we use are fully reversible from the time they are administered, until the time they are re-absorbed.
The body re-absorbs HA fillers within around 6-12 months but this can vary depending on many factors such as age, metabolism, the normal blood flow to the face.
Dermal fillers can be used to enhance and give volume in these areas
- Naso-labial folds
- Tear troughs
- Marionette lines
The fillers also have an element of local anaesthetic within them, this means that your filler injection is pain free and very comfortable.
We will discuss aftercare and what to expect with you but you may get some redness in the area and bruising straight after. For this reason, we do recommend that you allow a period of two weeks before any major event you may be attending.
