04 May The Positive in the Negative | Virtual Coffee Morning Update
Coming up to seven weeks! On the 20th of March, this all seemed impossible. We all thought it will be over in a couple of weeks and our busy lives will continue as usual, rushing to work, grabbing a bite on the way, boarding a packed train, getting that deal, pushing through the day… Little that we knew!
In a way it has been a godsend for many of us. Gardens are looking better than ever, second hand sales are rocketing, online car boot sales too. A lot of de-cluttering is happening in every way of its meaning. Much needed spaces in our houses are being freed making space for the new life ahead.
A lot of catching up with life itself is also underway, those long delayed provider switches, computer upgrades, mortgage reviews, life insurances, those shelves that have been waiting in the garage to be put up… We finally have time to tend to our long forgotten “to do lists”.
We have also had time to look around us and reflect. Our minds have quietened and freed of the daily buzz. I wonder, will we have that same hunger to push through our days, our life with the same vigour as before? Will we value our life and health more this time round? One thing is certain, we will all approach the next stage with caution.
This week the government is making a decision on the next stage of the lockdown. We are all keenly awaiting their address on Thursday afternoon. I am hoping for loosening of the measures but that will depend on the figures this week.
Apart from all of the mentioned above, when it comes to catching up with my life, I have also been busy drawing up protocols for the restart of my practice. Many of the points have already been implemented, however the issue of the PPE has to be addressed. I will update you on this as soon as it’s ready.
In the meantime, you are all invited again to our Virtual Coffee Morning on Thursday 7th of May.
